Fact-Checking Policy
Home owners buy tiles and brief fitters using our pages, so we take accuracy seriously. This is how The Tiles Design reviews its content.
What we check
- Sizes. Tile sizes are given in the standard millimetre sizes sold in India, with feet where people commonly use them.
- Finishes and types. Advice on ceramic, vitrified, porcelain, matt, glossy and anti-skid tiles follows common industry use.
- Safety. We recommend matt or anti-skid finishes for bathrooms, stairs, ramps and outdoor floors, and remind readers about slope towards drains.
- Fitting tips. Joint widths, spacers, grout types and layout advice reflect normal site practice. Your fitter’s judgement on site comes first.
What we leave out
- Prices and dealer recommendations, which change by city and season.
- Brand names and paid rankings.
- Structural or waterproofing engineering advice. For leaks, cracks or load questions, ask a qualified engineer.
